Briana Goldberg
Doctoral Resident in Clinical Psychology
Briana Goldberg is a Doctoral Student in Clinical Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School and joins Autism Wellness as a Doctoral Resident. She completed her Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa and brings over five years of experience supporting clients with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, relationship issues, low self-esteem, burnout, perfectionism, and more. Briana primarily under the supervision of Dr. Iris Rose, Clinical Psychologist & Neuropsychologist.
Briana has experience assessing autistic adults and individuals with ADHD, focusing on supporting their unique needs and promoting their overall well-being. She is committed to providing comprehensive, neuroaffirming diagnostic assessments that foster self-understanding, offer clear guidance, and strives to connect clients to the supports they need to live authentically.
Briana has experience identifying subtle and masked presentations of autism, and also conducting combined autism and ADHD (AuDHD) assessments. Her approach looks beyond external behaviours, using tailored assessment tools and interviews to gain a deeper understanding of each individual’s internal experience. She has experience assessing women whose challenges may intensify during hormonal changes such as menstruation, pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause.
Briana’s assessments take a holistic view of mental health to best understand each client's unique experiences. Clients receive a detailed report with practical strategies, resources, and recommendations for support. To ensure clients feel fully supported, Briana also provides a follow-up session after the report has been received to go over any questions or assist with completing necessary documentation.
Additionally, Briana provides psychoeducational assessments for adolescents and adults under the supervision of Dr. Alex Porthukaran, Clinical Psychologist. Depending on the specific goals of the assessment, the evaluation may include assessments for autism and ADHD.
